The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is the Perfect Tablet for Your Kid

The International Youth Day is coming this August 12, 2017 and we couldn’t think of any better way to treat your child with a gift that he or she will definitely enjoy than a tablet computer. Incidentally, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has also just been recently released back in April and its price, performance and features are just what your kid might need. The Xiaomi electronics company, which was only established in 2010, quickly rose up to fame and challenged other electronic giants like Samsung and Apple by creating analogues of their products. You gotta hand it to the Chinese, they are clever and are very good at imitating others and yet created a unique version of themselves by doing so.

Today they make $12.5 billion yearly revenue. Who would have thought, right? Let’s find out together why Xiaomi products are becoming so appealing to people these days.

The tablet is encased in a Champagne Gold color metallic housing with a 7.9-inch display which is elegant to the touch and pleasing to the eyes. By some reason this tablet was created to have no outgoing or incoming calling ability, so it does not have any sim card slots in it. Its 7.9 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and 16 million colors! It also sports the superpowerful hexa-core 3×2.1 GHz Cortex-A72 & 3×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 processors which can handle any data size or complexity. Clearly this tablet has been designed to keep you totally immersed in whatever it that you want to do with it! Whether it’s playing video games, listening to music, watching movies or tv, reading e-books and other stuff, the developers made sure that you won’t be bothered by pesky phone calls or text messages.

Other special features of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is that it can lower the blue light emission from its IPS LCD screen to protect your eyes from over-glare when you’re reading e-books. And if that’s not enough, you can also switch to the black and white mode to make reading more mediocre like it was meant to be. Under the hood, you’ll find the MediaTek MT8176 chipset along with 4 GB of RAM. Storage capacity is also limited to only 64 GB as the Mi Pad 3 does not have any expandable slots of SD cards to increase storage capacity. But do you really need more when you’ve already got a whooping 64 GB of storage space? I mean, really, how many games, videos, music and other files do you need to store in there when you can put them in a separate external storage device? I’d only put my favorite stuff in the tablet and the others I’ll keep them safe somewhere else.

Its 6,600 mAh battery can last from 2 – 12 hours (867 hours on standby) depending on what operations you let the tablet perform. Thankfully though the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has the Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot WLAN (wireless local area network) connectivity; so you can use its 13 megapixels primary camera to take photos and then upload them to your Facebook or Instagram account. It also has a 5 megapixels secondary camera at the front for you to take selfies at. Still, I think most people would prefer to use their smartphones than tablets to take selfies, because it’s too awkward holding a 7 or 10-inch device and act crazy in front of it like you’re literally holding your bathroom mirror and looking at your silly face while out in the crowded streets or park. It’s not cool.

Technically the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is for everyone; however, you can let your children use it as long as you set the Parental Controls to filter out unwanted content and install kid-friendly apps to empower their education. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 cost roughly $220 SRP and is now available worldwide.
